B. Business Activities of the Research Analyst

  • Publish research reports based on the Research Analyst’s activities.
  • Provide an independent and unbiased view on securities.
  • Offer recommendations disclosing financial interests in recommended securities.
  • Base research recommendations on publicly available information and known observations.
  • Conduct annual audits.
  • Ensure advertisements comply with SEBI’s Advertisement Code.
  • Maintain interaction records with clients and prospects.

C. Details of Services Provided to Investors

  • Client onboarding and sharing terms of research service.
  • Completing KYC for fee-paying clients.
  • Disclosures to Clients:
    • Provide material information for informed decisions, including conflicts of interest.
    • Disclose use of AI tools in research services.
    • Disclose third-party research conflicts and relevant links.
    • Distribute reports fairly and protect confidentiality.
    • Ensure adherence to timelines and client data privacy.

D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

1. Filing Complaint with Research Analyst

Mode: Investors may contact the Research Analyst directly. Complaints are typically resolved within 21 days.

2. Filing Complaint on SCORES or via RAASB

Platform: SCORES 2.0 – centralized SEBI system for complaint resolution.

  • First review by Research Analyst Administration and Supervisory Body (RAASB)
  • Second review by SEBI
3. Email Grievances

Investors can email complaints to the designated RAASB email ID.

Do’s

  • Always deal with SEBI-registered Research Analysts.
  • Verify SEBI registration number and certificate validity.
  • Read disclosures before investing.
  • Pay only via banking channels and obtain receipts.
  • Use CeFCoM for payments (if applicable).
  • Ask questions and clarify doubts before acting.
  • Report guaranteed-return offers to SEBI.

Don’ts

  • Do not provide investment funds directly to analysts.
  • Do not fall for misleading ads or rumors.
  • Avoid gifts, incentives, or discounts from analysts.
  • Never share trading or demat account credentials.
